A year older.....and still not one day wiser

Right....so as Spring starts tiptoeing its way back into frozen Birmingham, there are 15 days until I fly back home for Easter. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! The next few days will be quite hectic. Thank God! On Monday I have a meeting in Daresbury, then since it's Jim's birthday on Tuesday I'll spend the next day in Liverpool, returning to Birmingham on Tuesday evening. Between the 3rd and 6th of April I'm off to Lancaster for a conference, then on the 8th, early morning, I'll be on my way home!!!!

So, first off, here's a picture from my birthday weekend do in Eastbourne. James and I stayed with his mum, Jayne and the 3 cats. I had a very very good time with them - they're so kind! We went for walks on the hills by the sea, came across "Peace Path" (see picture), and on Sunday they had a surprise chocolate cake for me!!! Good times!!!

I also went to Liverpool (yes again) a couple of weekends ago...this time just for the day. Oliver had an exam there so Daniel and I took the opportunity to have a day trip. :o) What else can you do on a grey Saturday in Birmingham?!?!?!
Anyway, here we all are with John Lennon's statue, outside the Cavern on Mathew Street.

Some good news: Colin may be going to Glasgow!!! YAAAAY!!! This means we'll get to meet more often, since I will be going there to do some more work at some point.

I can't wait to go back home!! I only hope that no one will ask me about life in Birmingham or my PhD etc....I spend most of my days here, so the last thing I want is to spend the few days I have at home talking about Birmingham or any related topic!!!!
